βοΈ Note: Jitter is optimized for the latest version of Google Chrome on desktop since our exporter relies on some browser technologies. We recommend switching to Chrome before further troubleshooting.
Yellow label or red banner error
If you see a yellow warning label or a red banner on your export page, try these troubleshooting steps:
Make sure you're on the latest version of Google Chrome on desktop
Close the export page and re-trigger the export from the editor
If you see a "Try an alternative" option on the export page, use it. This switches to a different export path that may succeed where the first attempt didn't.
If the error persists:
Try exporting in a different format; MP4 is the most reliable option and a good baseline for testing
Try duplicating your file in Jitter and exporting from the duplicate. This can resolve issues caused by sync problems with your original file

Missing assets warning
If you see a "missing assets" warning during export, it means some assets in your file may not have fully synced to Jitter's servers before the export started. To fix this:
Wait a moment to allow assets to upload and retry the export
If the warning persists, duplicate your file in Jitter and try exporting from the duplicate. This triggers a fresh sync of all assets and often resolves the issue.
Large assets (images, videos) take longer to sync, so check whether any in your file are particularly large or were added very recently.
If the warning keeps appearing, reach out to us via the support widget.
Lottie-specific warnings
When exporting your file as Lottie, you may see a warning that some properties aren't supported and won't be rendered. You may also notice that your Lottie file looks different when previewed in some third-party players.
This happens because Lottie has format limitations, meaning some Jitter properties (e.g. certain effects, blend modes, etc.) don't have a direct Lottie equivalent. Instead, they get skipped in the export.
You'll notice better compatibility with the lottie-web player using the SVG renderer, which is what Jitter's own export preview uses. Other preview tools may render your file differently. This is a known inconsistency across the Lottie ecosystem.
To mitigate these issues, we recommend you:
Test your Lottie file in your target player early. Jitter's export preview uses the lottie-web player with the SVG renderer, which offers the best compatibility. Other preview tools may render your file differently; this is a known inconsistency across the Lottie ecosystem.
Consider whether a video format like MP4 or WebM would better suit your needs.
We're working on improving Lottie compatibility. If you're hitting an issue not mentioned, let us know through the support widget.
