Select the artboard and export with in your chosen size. Once you're on the export page, select one of the transparent formats (WebM, MOV or GIF).

If your artboard has a background fill, this will be removed entirely during the export process.

For MOV (transparent) formats you have the additional option of keeping the original background. This is handy for keeping translucent background effects, when your fill is set to partial opacity.
