There are the two ways to select and edit text in Jitter.
Select the text layer in the Layer list, and press Enter.
Double-click directly on the text in the canvas.
When you select a text layer and open the Design tab, you’ll see properties that control how your text looks and behaves.
Property | What it does |
Alignment | Controls how your text is positioned (left, center, or right alignment) within its layer |
Layout | Adjusts your text position, size, and angle |
Text | Changes the design qualities of the text including font, style, size, spacing, etc. |
Opacity | Changes the transparency of the text |
Fill | Sets the color inside your text |
Stroke | Adds an outline around the text with a particular size and color |
Shadow | Configures a shadow behind the text |
Blur | Softens the text |
💡 Text editing is only possible on actual text layers (marked by the T icon).
Some popular templates (like Stretch) use SVG layers instead of text to represent letters. To edit these layers, import or create your own custom shapes to replace them instead.
