Jitter's text animations come with unique customization options tailored to the written word, giving you greater creative control over how each character, word, or line in your design feels.

๐ Text animation settings
When you animate a text layer, additional Text animation parameters become available for more granular control:
Apply effect to: Choose the unit the animation applies to (letter, word, line, or the entire text layer)
Order: Set whether the text animates from the first unit to the last, or in reverse
Delay: Control the time gap between each unitโs animation
Smoothing: Apply a secondary easing effect to fine tune the text animation
๐ Build a custom text animation
In addition to available presets, you can create truly unique text animations from scratch by combining multiple effect parameters into one neat, re-usable package.
Go to In/Out animation presets and select Custom
Create your custom effect by defining its movement, rotation, scale, opacity, acceleration, duration, and more.
Effect | What it does |
Move (X, Y) | X: slide sideways |
Rotate | Spins the text, in degrees. |
Scale | Makes the text bigger or smaller during the effect. |
Opacity | Adjust the transparency of the text during the effect. |
Color | Sets a fill color for the text to transition to/from. |
Blur Radius | Softens the text edges during the effect. |
Clipping Mask | When on, hides the text outside a mask so it wipes or reveals cleanly. |
Acceleration | Adjust the easing, or how motion speeds up or slows down over time. |
๐ก Tip: Copy and paste your custom text animations to another text layer, or even a different project to keep your styles consistent.
