In Jitter you can animate your layers in a few ways:

  • Use AI Brainstorm to generate an intro sequence quickly

  • Use animation presets

  • Create custom animations

To access animation properties, open the Animate tab in the Property panel.

AI Brainstorm

Use AI Brainstorm to generate motion ideas instantly from any static design.

  1. Click on the sparkle ✨ icon at the top-right corner of the artboard to open the AI menu

  2. Pick a mood to generate

  3. Let the magic happen

💫 Animations made with Brainstorm can be tweaked and customized to make your own.

Use animation presets

Animation presets help you animate your layers in a few clicks.

  1. Click New animation

  2. Choose your type of animation:

    1. In animations make layers appear

    2. Out animations make layers disappear

💡 Animation presets may differ depending on whether you’re animating a shape or text.

Build a custom animation

If none of the animation presets match what you have in mind, you can create your own custom animation instead.

  1. Click New animation

  2. Click on Custom

  3. Pick the type of animation you want to create

  4. Adjust the animation properties until your animation looks and behaves the way you want

💫 Choose from one of our easing presets, or create a custom easing setting, to control how an animation speeds up or slows down.

Edit your animation

After you’ve applied an animation to your layer, it will be added to the Timeline. When you click on the animation in the timeline, you can update its parameters in the Animate tab.
