Overview

Comments can be posted on any file β€” just click the comment icon from the top bar to get started.

Comments are available to editors on any Jitter file, including drafts.

✨ What you can do

Post a comment

Once you've opened Comment mode, click anywhere on the canvas to leave a comment.

Comment positions

Comments remember where and when they are placed on a scene:

  • Adjust the time cursor before placing a comment to mark the moment in the timeline you wish to highlight.

  • Drag posted comments across the scene or along the animation timeline to reposition them.

Mention a teammate

Need to grab someone's attention or give kudos to a teammate in your workspace? Just type @ when commenting to bring up a list of people in your workspace.

Comments and mentions are only visible to members of the workspace where the file is shared. To use comments with your team:

  • If your file is still in Drafts, move it to a shared workspace so your teammates have access.

  • If your file lives in a different workspace, either move the file or invite your teammate to the same workspace.

Notifications

Mentioning a teammate will trigger an email notification to your teammate.

πŸ“ Note: We're working on making more notification options and preferences available in a future update!

Reply to a thread

Anyone in your workspace can reply to comments in a thread by clicking on the comment and adding their reply below β€” keeping your discussions neat and organized.

Edit or delete comments

Hit send too quick? Open the Β·Β·Β· menu on your comment or threaded reply to edit or delete your comment.

View and resolve comments

Keep track of unread comments with the red dot on the comment icon.

If there's a comment you would like to come back to later, you can use Mark as unread from the comment menu.

Resolve comments when the conversation is done to remove them from the canvas. A full history of resolved and unresolved comments is available on the right panel when comment mode is open.

Hide comments

Use Shift + C to quickly hide (or show) comments on the canvas.
