Connect Jitter to your AI assistant with the MCP server

Use the Jitter MCP server to work on your Jitter projects directly from compatible AI apps and streamline your workflows

✏️ Note: This feature is currently in beta, with more functions and capabilities being progressively rolled out.

What is the Jitter MCP server?

The Jitter MCP server connects your Jitter account to AI apps that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP), such as Claude or ChatGPT.

The concept behind the MCP is simple: just think of it as a universal adapter that gives AI apps you already use a standard way to plug into other tools (like Jitter) and work together.

Once connected, you can ask your AI assistant to:

  • Find files you can access

  • Inspect designs, layers, text, and animations

  • Create new Jitter projects

  • Edit layouts, content, and motion

  • Capture screenshots to review the result

The assistant works directly with your Jitter projects, so you can open your work in Jitter at anytime to review the work, or continue editing.

Get started

Add the following server URL in your AI app’s MCP settings:

https://mcp.jitter.video

The exact setup steps will depend on your AI app and any team permissions required. Look for a setting named MCP, Connectors, Integrations, or Custom tools, or refer to each services' help guide. Some commonly used ones include:

For example, here's what setting it up with Claude will look like:

After adding the server:

  1. Sign in to Jitter when prompted.

  2. Review the permissions requested by the app.

  3. Select Allow access.

Limitations

We're continuing to add more capabilities to the MCP server. For now, these features are only available in Jitter's core editor:
