Written by Tuan Tan

Welcome to Better Motion: A video series to help elevate your motion skills, one fix at a time. 🛠️

In our first episode of this series, Anaïs explains how staggering elements makes animations feel more natural and polished.

Animating every element at the same time can feel flat and noisy. Instead, lead with your main element and let secondary elements to create a sense of hierarchy and flow.

Fine-tune each entrance individually on the timeline, or use stagger to line up a casacading effect instantly:

  1. Select the animations you want to stagger from the timeline with or Ctrl Click

  2. Right-click to open the context menu and select Stagger

  3. Set your Delay time in seconds
