The time it takes to export a Jitter animation depends of several factors:

  • The total duration of your animation. The longer your animation is the longer the export time will be.

  • The format you are exporting in. Some export formats are taking longer to export than others.

    • Exporting in Lottie is close to instantaneous.

    • When exporting in GIF, MP4 or WebM it will take 1s to export 1s of animation.

    • When exporting in Transparent ProRes or Transparent WebM it will take 2 minutes to start the export process then 5 to 10s to export 1s of animation.

  • The assets you have in your animation. If your animation includes video assets, they will slow down the export process, adding a 2ร— to 3ร— factor to your export duration.

Some examples:

  • Exporting a 30s animation in MP4, GIF or WebM will take ~30s.

  • Exporting a 30s animation that includes video assets in MP4 will take between 1 min and 2 mins.

  • Exporting a 30s animation in transparent WebM will take ~5min

  • Exporting a 30s animation that includes video assets in transparent WebM will take ~10min
