There are two main ways to animate objects in Jitter, here's a detailed view of how to process.

Use our animation presets

We built some useful animation presets to help you animate your layers in one click, to access them:

  1. Select the object you want to animate

  2. Switch to the animate tab

  3. Click on "New animation"

  4. Select between our "in" or "out" animations to make the object appear or disappear

Note that the animation presets will change whether you want to animate a design or a text. You can visit our detailed article on How to animate text in Jitter for more information.

Here's an example of how to add an "in" animation preset to an object:

Build a custom animation

If you don't find what you're looking for in the presets, you can build your own custom animation:

  1. Select the layer you want to animate

  2. Switch to the animate tab

  3. Click on "New animation"

  4. Click on "Custom" to create your own animation

  5. Select the animation type you want to create

  6. Edit the animation's properties to suit your needs

Edit the animation's parameters

After you applied an animation to an object, it will be added to the Timeline at the bottom of your screen. When you click on the animation, you can change its parameters in the Property panel on the right.
